how can we protect files (pdf, ppt, doc, docx, videos) in order to be accessed for members only, the url link of the files can be accessed only for members.
what I want is to avoid the urls of the protected material been crawled from google.

Hi, are wanting to protect in a post or page URL links to images, videos, pdf files etc? Is that what you are trying to do? If yes, have you carried out a test by adding some URLs to a test page or post?
In regards to your question.

The way to achieve that is by adding this urls to the exclusion in Google Webmasters Tools or you might be able to use a plugin. You can also add the noindex tag to the page or post. You can read more about it here.

I added a url link to a test protected page. A url link to a pdf file:

Only a member can view that page, but, the pdf file can be accessed by anyone outside the page.
My question is how ca I hide that pdf file for non members

Hi, I just checked your protected page and I cannot see any pdf file. Another words the file is not displaying therefore this feature is working correctly.

Hi, I now know what you are talking about. If you share the URL to any image, pdf, video etc the person receiving the e-mail with the URL will be able to download the file. This plugin does not protect physical URLs to files. It only protects the displaying of content in a page or post.
What you are looking for is a plugin that protects downloadable files.
