    Hi,

i am currently migrating a contao site to a wordpress site and i would like to import the already existing users. however, i am unable to display all attributes (e.g. the company attribute) in the profile page. I bought the form-builder addon, because i thought that this addon would allow me to achieve this. could you provide me a hint on how to do this?

Hi, when you say show all some of the fields like Company. Are these fields also added to your registration form? Can you provide an example of all the fields you want to show in your profile form?

    Thank you

    Hi,

yes, i can go into more detail on what i am trying to do:

i have a database with lots of members in a contao cms. there is a table, where all the memberdata is stored. i want to import the data into the table wp_swpm_members_tbl. there are columns like phone, address_street, company i would like to populate. however, if i populate those columns, i cannot find a way how to show this data on the profile page.

    kind regards

Hi Sebastian, your best option is to purchase the Form Builder add-on. This add-on allows you to add extra fields to the registration form and also the profile form.

    Hi,

i already purchased this addon, hoping to solve that problem. if i add a field ‘company_name’ with the form builder the data from the table wp_swpm_members_tbl -> column company_name is not being displayed. is there a way to achieve this? do you support displaying data from the column company_name of the table wp_swpm_members_tbl? what i found out, this is table in the database being used by simple membership plugin, is that true?

    thanks

if i would add members manually within worpress (by clicking WP Membership->Members->Add Member), i have a company field. but this is not shown in the profile. maybe you could give me an advice on how to achieve this. this would solve my problem.

Did you also add that field to the Profile Form using Form Builder add-on?

On another note when creating a Form using the Form builder add-on it will automatically create a Profile form. However if you then add another field to the Registration form that field might not get added to the profile form. You have to add that field manually to the profile form. Or you can delete the profile form and create a new profile form based on the registration form you are working on.

of course i added the field to the profile form. did you ever tried it on your on? just follow the steps i provided:

add a new member (by clicking WP Membership->Members->Add Member). fill out the company field (eg. ‘my company’). add a field company to the profile using the form-builder. if you login in and click on your profile page, is ‘my company’ being shown in the profile? could you please just try it out and tell me what i’m missing?

Hi, I carried out the following test.

I added a new field to the profile form and I call this field Company. Now this field is added as a custom field. This custom field is also displayed under the new member I added.

When the new member logs in, this custom field appears in the members profile page. So in my case this is working correctly.

The only difference is that the company name now appears twice under members in the plugin.

thanks for the answer. is there a way to have it just once (use the first company name?).

Can you not import this into one file then upload upload and migrate to a destination source, is it not possible… If not, I guess you have to do certain things manually. Anyway, if needed some help I understand this site http://eatmywords.com/ also works on the same case, I actually used this on my other web related concerns, and I am so grateful that one of their expert like Alexandra Watkins attended to me.
