I folllowed the instructions and setup a Paypal button in Paypal, using the advanced variables code. I pasted the code/button on the Join Us page. However, I can’t sandbox test now within my site. How come?

When I click on the button within my site it takes me to Paypal payment page. But I have no idea if a new user will be setup correctly within the plugin/site.

What’s the work around for this so I can test and make sure everything is working correctly from payment to new member being added to the site.

    Thank you!

I think it works like this: you need to set up a sandbox account in PayPal. Then you can test the membership button by ‘paying’ with this sandbox account, but no money actually changes hands. its quite complicated to get all the settings right in Paypal – i tried and gave up after a while. good luck with it.

I tried as well. Not easy. I just made all my membership options a Dollar for testing purposes.

Thank you. Much easier to set up the sandbox using this tutorial.

Hi all please read the following from one of the developers in regards to e-mails in Sandbox if that was one of your issues.

Your sandbox emails are imaginary emails. A real email can’t be routed to that inbox. So if you are testing the actual email notification use a live transaction. You can always refund the transaction after the test.
