    So everything seems to be working swell, except I need my members who are tagged as authors to be able to post articles directly to the system, but all they can do right now is Submit for Review. Is there a way to get around this? Obviously I can’t make all my members admin level.

    That comes from WordPress’s role. WordPress’s Author role can’t publish. I think you need to use “Editor” role for them to be able to publish posts.
