Hi,
I was wondering if you know how to disable adding a new post if some “smart” users decide to login into the website using the default wp login and not the login page.
I tried and it let you to sign in, you see the empty dashboard, however there is an option to add a new post, how can I disable it?
Any ideas?
If you give a role “a contributor” to the user, when registers for the website, he won’t see the default dashboard even if he uses default wp-login.
If the role is subscriber, and if a “smart” user uses default wp-login, he will see the wp dashboard.
Hi your issue is not related to the plugin.
What you can do to hide the WordPress login pages is to install a security plugin like All In One WP Security & Firewall. Then enable one of the Brute Force features like rename login page. This will stop anyone trying to access the wp-login.php and the wp-admin.php pages.
I hope the above helps you.
