The Join Us looks diff than your others so maybe it’s not complete.
I tried many variations but still can’t get the Join Us page to pop open. It did work once and even the buttons went to paypal and worked.
Appreciate help. thx.:-)

ModeratorHi the following shortcode [swpm_join] is wrong. Can you delete that shortcode. Can you also share your URL? Can you also enable Debug Mode and check the log file.

ParticipantHi mbrsolution, π
OK.
Deleted [swpm_join] , ourcarebooks.comI’m running late for a TG potluck & I’ve got the Tofurky. Need to read how to enable Debug Mode and check the log file.
Hope that helps.
Thanks much! π

ModeratorHi, the Debug Mode option is found at the bottom of the settings tab.
November 26, 2015 at 11:06 pm #4254sunnyday
ParticipantHi,
Yes, the Debug Mode box is checked. There is a white screen.
For your help, I’m glad to offer you free membership to post your webinars, business or resumes–when I can get this site working–in appreciation.

ModeratorDid you update the plugin to the latest version? If you did and you still see a white screen when you view the log file then that means the plugin is not communicating well with your PayPal account. Do you have PayPal IPN set up?
PS Thank you for your kind words π

ParticipantHi,
Yes, I’m foregoing some of the potluck party for your help. As I was cruising around trying to find more info I came across your website. Yes, definitely, my site is all about us helping each other. One good favor deserves another, etc. I have 1,000s I will be marketing to, we are a kind of group.
I see you also mentioned ” Make sure that all members pages set up by the plugin are created and functioning.” to another on your site.
Well, Profile isn’t showing for anyone else but me as Admin.
My Activity box on the Upper Right Corner works–but not for anyone else.* I installed a couple other memberships plugins and deleted them. That prob caused this.
No my Paypal isn’t completely setup. But couple weeks ago the Join Us page showed and clicking on the diff buttons all went to PP correctly.

ModeratorHi in regards to your comment.
* I installed a couple other memberships plugins and deleted them. That prob caused this.
Yes, that would have caused many issues.
In regards to the following comment.
No my Paypal isnβt completely setup.
You need to set up your PayPal account correctly including setting up PayPal’s IPN as I mentioned above so that the plugin can work correctly.

If you have:
Simple Membership
Buddy Press
Woocommerce
PaypalAnd you want a Free Trial, a Gold, and a Platinum
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) on Join Us (or Register) Page Paste this Code:
[bbp-register]2)a) Set up Your Buttons (including a Trial Discount for each Button):
Dashboard > WP Membership > Membership Levels
Membership Level Name: Gold
Default WP Role (required): s2Member Level 2Access Duration (required): check box: No Expiry (or whatever)
b) WP Membership > Payments > Create New Button
c) WP Membership > Manage Payment Buttons
click: EditHere you can give them a Discount so they are Already set up in Gold or Platinum (instead doing a Free Trial and then switching.
** They are Already in place to continue on if they want.Example:
Billing Amount Each Cycle: 29.00
Billing Cycle: 1Trial Billing Amount : 5.00 (or whatever)
Trial Billing Period: 14 Days~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
On Your Button Page (Join Us/Register pg)Tell your new Members (Customers) what they get for their payments–and the Trial
Makes their Decisions Much Easier
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
3) When they click on their Button they (and you) will see in Paypal:Gold Member………………. $5.00 USD for the first 14 days…………….5.00
Then $29.00 USD for each monthand Voila

ParticipantUPDATE:
** Remember: To check if these pages work – You Must Be Logged Out. **
on (1) Above- do NOT include [bbp-register].
Just add Simple Membership Buttons. If you accidently deleted them, the codes are on the Button area and look like [swpm_payment_button id=300]4)a) Registration – Your Page (Different ideas, this is just 1 way for Members to set up their Page/Profile)
[wpmu_bbp_register]b) add to Settings > Buddy Press > Pages > Register
Hope this helps! π
