What to do to avoid that when the user stop the recurring payment his profile is automatically and immediately marked as Inactive, although the user has paid to be active for more time?

A user pay 1 year of subscription for example. After 3 months he stops the recurring payment. The plugin turns his account to inactive immediately.

This makes many things complicated for the customer care.

What to do to manage this problem?

    Kind regards

Hi can you explain the following further

A user pay 1 year of subscription for example. After 3 months he stops the recurring payment. The plugin turns his account to inactive immediately.

And then you add the following…

although the user has paid to be active for more time?

    Hi,
it is an example to clarify.

The problem is that a user pays for a subscription and register the account (or he has already an account or change his subscription).

The subscription are recurring payments, for example with cycle of 1 month or 3 months or 1 year.

IF the user cancel the subscription from his paypal account before the expiration date, his account becomes “Inactive” Automatically.

Then, for example … if I payed for 3 months and I stop the recurring payment after the first months, the user finds his account inactive also if he has paid for 3 months. Then he cannot use the last 2 months of the services that he has paid.

I understand what you mean. The plugin developers will investigate further your issue.

At the moment we don’t have an option for what you are asking. If you are using a subscription then it is wired to stop the access when the user cancels the subscription.

    Dear all,
any upgrade about that problem ?
we are facign the same problem.
In my opinion we ha ve to consider that subscritpion in wordpress and recurring payment in paypal rpofle are two different things.
At the time being i can’t block recurring payment till the last day of the subscritpion; if i forgot to do it i will renew the subscription i don’t want if i stop the renewwal in advance i loose days of subscription i paid for.

this behaviour by design can make me decide not only to not buy the pro version but chenage plugin 🙁

does anyone solve the problem ?

Hi Alessandro, currently this is how the plugin works. Unfortunately that feature has not been implemented as we speak.

If you choose to add a subscription button and your member decides to cancel earlier then it is up to you to issue a refund for the remaining period or organize something else. It depends on your terms and conditions agreement link.

I also replied to your other question.

    Regards
