i’m not sure what changed but all of a sudden when members log in, i still see the LOG IN link at the bottom of the footer and i have conditions on one of my menu items to show when members are logged in but it doesn’t show up. which makes me think that when members log in, they’re not actually logged in. can you help? my site seemed to stop working properly after the last update.

Hi can you provide more information regarding the following comment.

i have conditions on one of my menu items to show when members are logged in but it doesn’t show up.

Can you also enable debug mode and check the log file?

i’m guessing the If Menu plugin doesn’t work with your plugin. For the pages that are restricted to members only, i have them in my menu, but don’t want them to show up unless they are logged in. but even if that plugin is disabled and i’m logged into my site as a member, i still see Log In in my footer menu. use to say Log Out. nothing in my log file.

just an fyi, when i’m logged in as administrator, i see the LOG OUT link, but when i’m logged in as a member, i see the Log In link. so something doesn’t seem to add up here.

when i’m logged in as an administrator, i can access everything and i can actually log out. but as a member, it doesn’t actually log me in. what can i do to fix this?

question, if a member registers, are they only supposed to show up in the Members list? because if I create a WordPress User profile for the exact same member, then everything works fine. i’m actually logged in. so looks like registrants are not actually able to log in and not being considered an actual account. i’m sure it created duplicate accounts when i first installed this program. now it’s not.

@Hybr1d if you are using a cache plugin, did you exclude the membership page from caching?
