Hello, using Simple Membership Plugin and Simple Membership Google reCAPTCHA V3 plugin.
My present issue is new members can not submit the completed registration form. “Security check: captcha validation failed.” appears at the top of the form. This was previously working, now it is not.
My forms have been built with the form builder plugin and unchanged for many years. I have the verification field inserted.
Debug logs show:
[2026/05/05 08:42:04] – SUCCESS: [reCAPTCHA V3 Addon] Google Captcha is enabled. Lets validate captcha.
[2026/05/05 08:42:04] – SUCCESS: [reCAPTCHA V3 Addon] Captcha validated successfully!
[2026/05/05 08:43:06] – SUCCESS: [reCAPTCHA V3 Addon] Google Captcha is enabled. Lets validate captcha.
[2026/05/05 08:43:06] – FAILURE: [reCAPTCHA V3 Addon] Captcha error!
I rebuilt the capture settings in Google (these had also been unchanged for many years) however with the new details I have the same issue.
If I disable the Simple Membership Google reCAPTCHA V3 plugin form validation falls back to the simple validation enter two characters. This also fails with the Security check: captcha validation failed.
This occurs on different O/S and different browsers. Any help troubleshooting would be appreciated.
