ParticipantHi,
I am experiencing another strange behavior when I renew the subscription for an expired account (using my sandbox account properly set).In practice what I see is that:
– I logged in
– Member Profile Status shows that the account is expired
– I make the new payments
– I come back to the website from the paypal interface
– I am still logged in and the account is still expired
– I get to be logged out and the account marked as inactive
– Then i cannot login anymore
– I have to set the active status manually by the administrator dashboard.– the account is inactive but anyway after a moment I receive the email notification that confirm that my account has been upgraded.
So, I pay to renew, but instead to get the service active properly I get a Deactivation of the account.
This happens with every account that I am using to test the different subscriptions (3 account).
I don’t how fix it. The setting page is configured properly with active like default status.
Why this happens?
kind regards

KeymasterHi, Please enable the debug option in the plugin (if you don’t have it enabled already). Then do the test you did above. Share the URL of your payment page after that so I can check the log file and a few other things. I will know what is going on when I can check the log file.

ParticipantHi, I use the debug of course.
So, take a look in the log of the last days here:
http://b.girolamoaloe.com/wp-content/plugins/simple-membership/log.txtit reports that for some reason the system receive a notification of subscription ended then it disable the account.
But in the setting page the default is “active” and also the Expired Account Login is flagged.
What can be the problem?
Kind regards

KeymasterYes, it is definitely receiving a subscription cancellation notice afterwards which is why it is cancelling the account (as it should).
One of the following is happening:
1) You have mis-configured the subscription payment
2) You are cancelling the subscriptionHave you specified a numeric value in the “Billing Cycle Count” field of the recurring payment by any chance?

ParticipantHi,
in the moment about the testing of the plugin that I am doing. I am not using the recurring payment, but the 1 time payment buttons.for this buttons I have set at the moment
Billing Cycle: 1 day
Billing Cycle Count: 1
Re-attempt on Failure: checkedI have also set recurring payments, but I have still not used. They have these:
Billing Cycle: 1 day
Billing Cycle Count: “Nothing”
Re-attempt on Failure: checkedIn the past, when I used the recurring payment, i have seen that there is no possibility to stop the payment using the plugin. it is necessary to stop it via paypal.
The Membership Levels that I am using for the test have the Access valid for 1 Day:
Expire After: 1 Day
How manage the this problem of the expired account that turn to inactive after the payment renew?
I hope this can help.
Kind regards
