The Simple WP Protection box does not show for my pages anymore since WordPress was updated. Some pages are still protected when logged out, but others are in the open.

    My WP is 4.3.1

    Any solution?

    Thanks.

    Hi,

In the Edit post section, there is a section to check “yes” protect this content and you have to select the membership level that can access the content.

    Unfortunately, I can’t show a screenshot here.

Well, this is not showing in the Page Editor.

It used to be there, it’s gone… so my pages are not protected.

    Thank you.

Thank you for clarifying your question.

Can you check the following. Go to a page, then go to the top of the page and click on Screen Options. Can you make sure that the following is checked Simple WP Membership Protection.

    Hi,

Thank you very much. It was not checked… and now I have fixed the issue.

Another issue I have is that I use OptimizePress to make my pages and when a protected page is accessed and the user is not logged in, I have:

This shows multiple times in different manners depending on the module I used.

Is there a way to make it look better?

    Thank you again.

unfortunately there not much we can do. The way simplemembership works is that, it injects its functionality into wordpress system through a mechanism called hook/action. each time the hook/action is executed, it will execute simple membership functionality too. The rule is that particular hook/action is called once during rendering a page/post. but OptimizePress has managed to call the hook/action many times and each time hook/action is called you see that message.
