I am having difficulties viewing the protected content on my website.

    1. I have followed all of the instructions to give wordpress admin user access to protected content.

    2. I have created a Admin test level membership and assigned that to myself with the same login details as my wpadmin

    3. I don’t automatically see the protected content even though I’m logged into my wordpress admin and am forced to ‘Log In’, which I do with the same details that I have used for both my wordpress admin and my simple membership member login (which should have access to everything assigned to that level).

    4. Instead, I receive the following message when I try to log in.

Warning! Simple Membership plugin cannot process this login request to prevent you from getting logged out of WP Admin accidentally.

Click here to see the profile you are currently logged into in this browser.

You are logged into the site as an ADMIN user in this browser. First, logout from WP Admin then you will be able to log in as a normal member.

Alternatively, you can use a different browser (where you are not logged-in as ADMIN) to test the membership login.

Your normal visitors or members will never see this message. This message is ONLY for ADMIN user.

Any tips on how to get around this without having to open a new browser to test the login or log out of wp admin and log into the membership? I would like to automatically be able to see the content while being logged into my wp admin

WHAT is link to “other answer”? I have same question. WHY don’t you put the link so others can see it????

@jennylens — this user posted the same question twice. The decision was to only answer the first posting. With that said, please state your specific question, as it applies to you.

Every site is different, and the original poster’s situation may include background details that don’t apply to yours.

The feature being discussed in this thread is documented here:
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/giving-wordpress-admin-user-access-protected-content/

There is no known bug with this feature. If it’s not working on your site, it’s most likely due to a conflict with another plugin/theme or a configuration issue.

If you’d like help troubleshooting, please describe your specific setup — what you’ve configured so far, what you expected to happen, and what’s actually happening. With that context, we can provide useful guidance.
