Step 1 (Download the Addon)
Download the free Simple Membership Google reCAPTCHA v3 integration addon.
Step 2 (Install the Addon)
- Click on the Add New menu under the plugins interface.
- Go to the Uploader tab and upload the swpm-recaptcha-v3.zip file.
- Hit the Install Now button and then activate the addon.

Step 3 (Go to the Addon Settings Interface)
Navigate to the add-on settings tab within the main settings menu of the Simple Membership plugin.

Step 4 (Google reCAPTCHA v3 API details)
Get your reCAPTCHA API details from the Google reCAPTCHA site.
Select the ‘Score based (v3)‘ option for reCAPTCHA type to generate v3 API keys.

Step 5 (Enter the API Details in the Add-On Settings)
Copy and paste the Google reCAPTCHA v3 API details into the add-on’s settings interface, then save the settings. Enable reCAPTCHA for the desired areas (e.g., registration, login, etc.).

When reCAPTCHA v3 is enabled, the reCAPTCHA icon will appear at the bottom of the registration page, as shown in the following screenshot. The presence of this reCAPTCHA logo indicates that the reCAPTCHA library is active and captcha checks are being applied to the page.

Disable the ‘Anyone Can Register’ Option of WordPress
WordPress has an option that allows anyone to go to WordPress’s registration page and create a WP user account. This WordPress feature can open your site up for spam user registration. If you had previously enabled this option, you should disable it.
