    Hello,

Is it possible to combine the multiple free memberships system with a social login process?
In other words, can I add social login to the registration shortcode described in this article https://simple-membership-plugin.com/offering-multiple-free-memberships-site/ ?

    Thanks

SWPM uses Member accounts. WordPress uses User accounts. Normally, these 2 entities are independent; you can have several SWPM Members and only one WordPress User. By following these instructions, you can have a 1:1 relationship between SWPM and WordPress account; so that when a social login occurs, it automagically logs them into their SWPM account:

Hello, following the instruction on the page you shared, the social login doesn’t seem to work on the SWPM registration and login pages.
However it does work on the WordPress admin login page.

I was wondering, should I enable the “Force WP User Synchronization” in SWPM settings to make it work?
If not, do you have an idea on why it’s not working ?

The “Enable Auto Create Member Accounts” is enabled already.

Yes, synchronization should be turned on.

    Thank you for your answer.

After enabling the synchronization, we see no difference, the Social login still doesn’t appear on the registration and login page of SWPM.

    Are we missing anything?

    Thanks

    With respect to this documentation:
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/social-login-plugin-simple-membership/

As you create new WP user accounts, new corresponding SWPM member accounts should also be created and linked to the WP user account. When the WP user logs in, using the social login plugin; they should be logged into both the WP user account and the SWPM member account.

    Is this happening?

Hello, sorry for the delay, we encountered unrelated problems we had to tackle.

So yes, after testing, the process you describe above is happening. All works well.
But sadly we still don’t see the Social login button on the SWPM Member login page.

    Thanks

When you log into WordPress FIRST and then navigate to a protected SWPM page; does it behave, as if you are logged into SWPM?

You mean if we login without the social login ?
Because otherwise it’s the same as your previous question: we logged in with social login on the wordpress admin page, and then accessed a SWPM page to make sure we were connected on both. So the answer is yes?

The social login logs you into WordPress. WordPress should then autologin the user to their SWPM membership account.

So… if you log into WordPress, using the WORDPRESS login page, is the user able to see the protected SWPM pages?

AND, does the social login, also successfully log them into WORDPRESS, which should also cause WORDPRESS to log them into their SWPM membership accounts?

    Yes to all the above.
The only problem is that the social login doesn’t appear on the SWPM login page

It is not supposed to. The members must log into WordPress, and then navigate to the desired SWPM content page. There is not supposed to be a social login option on the actual SWPM login page.

I guess it would have been nice to know that earlier since it was always my question (refers to post #27609). But I guess we misunderstood each other.

    Thanks for your support.
