    Hi – users who have a free account provide baasic info. I want to be able to:

    Add a link to their membership welcome page to upgrade
    When they click the link, they have to add extra information to their account
    Submit which is then checked for validation by the admin
    Once ok, admin send them a link to a page with a subscription link (Ive done the button – but how do I link it to the account?)

    Hope someone can help !

    I’m going to assume that the new level is paid, correct?

    Since the admin has to manually approve the information; the admin could manually upgrade the member to the level,
    whose subscription term expires in something like 5 days. The newly upgraded member would then have that long to “renew” for whatever the standard subscription period is.

    Alternatively, you can create the new level with a 5 day trial period, before the paid subscription kicks in. That will give YOU 5 days to either accept or reject the information.

    I tend to favor the first approach, because the second puts you in a race with the trial period; if you are expecting a high number of rejections.

    Hi

    Thank you for your reply. I have started to work through some of the logic so;

    1. User must create a basic free account – only need first and last name.
    2. They decide to upgrade – so I edited the free user profile update form to include the new fields and a checkbox hich says either leve account as basic or update it and review it.
    3. The admin then needs to receive an email notification to say the user wants to upgrade and they have added further information.***STUCK HERE** HOW CAN I SEND AN ADMIN NOTIFICATION OF ACCOUNT PROFILE UPDATE?
    4.The admin approves the information on the system, then sends the a link to a page where they make payment obviously they need to be logged in to do this – then it upgrades their accont to a FULL voting member with their subscription payment.

    So I have managed ponts:
    1, 2 and 4, but how do I send andmin email notification that they have updated their info AND checked the box to upgrade. If checking the tick box is too much – even if it just sends admin an email of profile update action.

    There are a few WordPress plugins that will collect form information and then email it…
