    I am using the Enable Password Reset Using Link option, and the password reset email is adding an additional reset link below my main link.

    This is the body of the reset email.

    We have received a password change request for your account at <a href="https://beta.example.com" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Example.com</a>.

    {password_reset_link}

    <a href="{password_reset_link}" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Reset Password</a>

    If you did not ask to change this password then you can ignore this email and your password will not be changed.

    And this is the email that I receive.

    We have received a password change request for your account at Example.com.

    Password Reset Link: https://beta.example.com/login/passwordreset?action=swpm-reset-using-link&key=x8pIGCP4VDgEfsS6cUsb&login=nk-2

    with the additional link appended at the bottom.

    I did find a check if the link is included in the email body in this plugin file, simple-membership/classes/class.swpm-front-registration.php, which has this code

    `//if no password_reset_link in email, add it at the bottom of the email body.
    if( $password_reset_using_link && ( SwpmMiscUtils::has_tag( $body, “{password_reset_link}” ) == false ) ) {
    $body .= “\n\nPassword Reset Link: {password_reset_link}”;
    $body = SwpmMiscUtils::replace_dynamic_tags( $body, $user->member_id, $additional_args );
    }’

    What is the reason why the check is not picking up the shorttag?

    There was a small bug in the new password reset feature. I have released an update just now that will fix it. Update the plugin when you can and then do another test.

    Thank you. I have updated the plugin to 4.2.3 and the issue is now resolved.

    Having an odd issue with the password reset function

    when clicking on the link for password rest on the front end , either from the login form or with direct link from menu ( linked to password reset page in app the page displayed immediately

    profile updated successfully and never displays the form to enect email to trigger the reset

    any ideas what’s causing this ?
