Under Settings > Payment Settings there is a box titled PayPal Integration Settings used to Generate the “Advanced Variables” Code for your PayPal button.
I cannot find anything documented on this feature nor have I been asked to provide this value in any of the payment buttons I have configured but am still curious as to its’ purpose and whether it is necessary to ensure payments are processed and managed correctly.You don’t need to use that option anymore. We still keep that option in the settings for older site setup who may still using the old PayPal button option we had in the plugin.
The following paypal button setup option (which is simple and easy in my opinion) was not present back in the day. So there was a different option.
