Hello all. Hope you can help.

We have a website with two languages on it. We want to edit the language file so it shows the Spanish text and then the English. So, for example… on the login form we would want it to say “Entrar/Login”

Which is the English language file that we can edit? We have found all the others but not one with the language suffix GB or EN.

Or… how do we set the plugin to read the Spanish file and we’ll edit that one?

    Thanks

Hi the English file is named swpm.pot, which is the template file. This file is the default language file that the website uses if it is set up in English.

Harrumph! Unfortunately although we are making changes to the display text in that file – it’s not being reflected on the website.

Am I correct in saying that the edits to that file are all we need to do? Or should I be ticking a box or sticking my right arm behind my left ear somewhere else? :o)

    Thanks for your patience.

Hahahaha that was very funny sorry for laughing 😉 The file I mentioned above is a template file. This file is used to create other language files. You should never edit this file, only use it to create other language files. Does that help you?

Ah you have to laugh or you go bonkers!!!

Okay – that makes sense (arm now removed although still twitching) 🙂

I am wondering if, for what I need, I may be overthinking things… and may just need to password protect a couple of pages rather than use the membership plugin on this particular project (it is working seamlessly on another website – thanks guys!!).

Am going to take a break from it today I think before my head explodes.

Thanks again for all your help – it’s very much appreciated.
