ParticipantHI,
I deal with hundreds of users and would be creating hundreds more, so these enhancements would really save me a lot of time:
(A) At the moment the ‘notify user’ button is not shown while creating the user first time. ONly when you ‘edit’ the user, this button is visible. Would be good if this option is made available without having to come back to edit the user.
(B) Is there a way to change the default membership level? at the moment it is set to ‘Author’ and i would prefer to set it to ‘Subscriber’ in my case.Any chance of getting these implemented? saves me tons of time.
cheers.

ModeratorHi, in regards to your first question “A” the plugin developers will look further into your request. In regards to your second question “B”, in my development platform my default is set to Subscriber. Check your settings under WordPress admin panel. Go to Settings -> General -> New User Default Role. make sure it is set to your requirement.
Regards

Participantregards to your question “A”:
when you create user from admin panel for the first time, the user is automatically notified with user name/password etc. “Notify User” is in the edit page in case you want to reset email.July 14, 2015 at 12:59 pm #2315gmandala
ParticipantHi mbrsolution,
the default in the general setting is ‘subscriber’, yet the plug-in shows ‘author’.Hi nur,
Earlier the ‘Email Settings (Registration Complete)’ text was not having any details of userid and pwd and the end user was merely getting information that their account is set up. I have now modified the text to include the parameters for id and pwd. This is working and is meeting my immediate needs. Thanks for the pointers. This forum has been very helpful!!

Moderator@gmandala can you confirm that you don’t have any other plugin installed that controls the user role settings?

Participant@mbrsolution I only have this plug-in active (besides anti-spam by cleantalk). there were a few plug-ins for memberhsip which i had installed but deactivated them a long time ago. I deleted all of them now and checked again. it’s still the same issue.
