ParticipantHi all,
On my main menu bar I have two tabs, one is for logging in (Login) and one is for logged in members (members)
On the Logged in menu (Login) I have the display mode set to “Logged out Users”
On the Logged in members menu (members) I have the display mode set to “Logged In Users”
Now this normally works well and It will either show the Login or Members menu link, but regularly it will show the Login menu and when I click on the link it says I am already logged in, the only way to get to the Members page is to log out and back in again, otherwise I cant access the Members page
Is there a way of ensuring logged in members only see the Members page and not the Login Page?

ModeratorHi can you share your URL?
Thank you

ParticipantThis is the URL to the main page http://aphukrescue.org.uk/ it is the top menu bar that shows the two menu items, either Members or Login
This is the Members page http://aphukrescue.org.uk/members
and this is the login page Login | Join page http://aphukrescue.org.uk/login-join
you can create a free account from that page, it seems to happen more when I close my browser when I am logged in and then when I reopen it, that is when I get the problems

ModeratorHi, what browsers have you tested your theory in? Are the browsers up to date? Do you have a cache plugin installed?

ParticipantHi, I have tried it on both Chrome and Internet Explorer, both are up-to-date and no I am not using a cache plugin.

ModeratorCan you carry out a test and test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fourteen. If that does not fix your issue one of the plugin developers will look further into your problem.

ParticipantHi, thanks for the reply, I have tried Twenty Fourteen and Twenty Thirteen, these give a different problem, when I load these themes I am not able to hide the menu options at all, so no matter what settings I have in my menu options, “Logged In” or “Logged Out” I am still able to see both options “Login | Join” and “Members” I have WordPress 4.2.2 running and all plugins are up to date.

ModeratorHi do you have the following enabled Hide Hide Adminbar under Settings?
June 16, 2015 at 6:45 am #2100RoyLittle0
ParticipantHi, No the Hide Adminbar is not set, although when I log in and out I only use my Login | Join page rather than the Admin Login

ModeratorWhat happens if you enable Hide Adminbar?

ParticipantExactly the same, when I login to either Chrome or Internet explorer and I get the Members menu, then close either one, when I reopen them they are back to the Login | Join menu, I then have to logout and log back in again.

ParticipantAny more thoughts on this issue as it is causing some problems for users on I-Phones and mobile devices as well
It says they are Logged in but the tab Login | Join, indicates they are Logged OUT
