ParticipantI know these are paid addons. I have reached out to support regarding these questions and I’m not getting a response. Can someone please help me?
1.) Can I ADD custom fields from the form info to the Member Directory page? For example, the registration form has custom fields for “Service Area” and “Services Offered” that I would like to add under the member’s name.
2.) WHICH fields does the search function index/search on the Member Directory page? It seems like it only searches the name and company name fields? I have each member fill out a bio (text area) as well as checkboxes for Service Area, Services Offered, and Experience. When I search for terms in a member’s bio or services or areas they serve, no results are showing.

Check the following documentation https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-member-directory-listing-addon/. This should help you answer your question.

I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further your issue/question.
Thank you

ParticipantThanks for your reply.
I have read through the documentation you linked several times. I see instructions for adding individual fields of info from the default member’s details and I see the instructions for adding ALL custom fields. But that is not quite what I’m looking for. I want to ONLY add 2 of my custom fields member data to the members directory listings. Thanks for submitting to the developers for the other piece.

ParticipantI had an email reply from developers re: my 1st question about adding 2 specific form builder custom fields to the /all-members page (directory) He says it’s not possible.
He also said re: my 2nd Q about search that it is a very limited search feature. He didn’t specify which fields it searches exactly but seems like this plugin and addons are not going to work for this website project.
Thanks everyone for the assistance.

ModeratorThank you for sharing the information. I am sorry to hear our addons don’t meet your requirements for this project.

ParticipantI second this request. An otherwise excellent plugin is severely limited because we can’t:
1. Display all/some custom fields in the Members Directory list (not the individual page)
2. Include custom fields in the search function, which is currently almost uselessCan I suggest you extend this plugin to include these functionalities? Or else tell us how we might achieve this by customizing it?
Thanks

KeymasterThe custom field search option will be available very soon.
I have added the other option to my wishlist, but it is a difficult one to manage. I cannot make any guarantees about it. I want to emphasize that we never recommend users to purchase anything unless they are satisfied with the features we currently offer. Otherwise, it can lead to stress and disputes, which we are not equipped to handle.
If you are a coder, you are free to customize the code of the plugin or the addon. If you want to hire us to get some custom coding done, you can do so by contacting us.
