ParticipantHi,
I’ve followed the instructions to integrate paypal. The button has been added with the advanced variables code. This links to paypal but when i try to login and make a test payment it comes up with this error:
“The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.”Please tell me what the issue is.
Also, is it possible to use a pre existing html/css button on my site as the paypal ‘subscribe’ button?
Thanks,
Rory

ModeratorHi Rory, have you tried to make a test payment from the font end of your website while you are not logged in?

ModeratorSorry I forgot to mention. Can you enable debug mode and view the log file.

ParticipantHI,
I’ve enabled de-bug, logged out and tried the procedure again. it isn’t displaying any errors on the page but still coming up with the same paypal error.
Here is the link to the subscribe button – http://nase.org.uk/test/
The site is meant to be in ‘coming soon’ mode so please check it as soon as you can,
Thanks,
Rory

ModeratorHi Rory, I just checked the subscribe button in the link above and it is working well for me. So I suspect that you have a cache problem on your end. Delete the browser cache and check also a different browser if you have more than one.

ParticipantHi,
I’ve just tried again with Firefox and Safari (was using chrome originally). The link works in that it directs to Paypal but then when I put my login details in it comes up with the same error message –
The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.May 19, 2015 at 10:28 pm #1791mbrsolution
ModeratorHi I tried ti access the link you provided above but it is closed.

ParticipantHi,
The site is meant to be in preview mode so I can only allow access for a limited time. It is active now again. Please let me know if you can find out what the issue is.

ModeratorHi Rory, the following message that you are referring too….
The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.
I think this has to do with PayPal and not with this plugin.

ParticipantHi,
I have followed the instructions for integrating Paypal that are given by yourselves. Anyway will check with PAyapl, but I may need to consult you again.
The other question I had was is it possible to use a simple HTML link to paypal rather than the paypal subscribe button?
Thanks,
Rory

Moderator@marksy can you enable Debug Mode, carry out another transaction then check the log file and report back. Can you also share your URL. I would like to check myself.
Thank you

Participantit started working now. I saw another post about a browser cache error. I deleted my browser’s cache files and then reloaded the page and it worked like I believe it is supposed to.
if you would like to check, you can visitGCN Blog
How does sandbox mode work? do i complete transaction as normal and it just doesn’t take money from my credit card?
Thank you for your quick response!

ModeratorHi the Sandbox test the functionality of your site without carrying out any real transaction and or taking money from your account or credit card.

Participantokay it is not really working. Every time I try to go through paypal sandbox mode or not Unless I clear my browser cache files, I get an error message in paypal. Most often the error I receive is “The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.”
I click on subscribe and then i choose to log in to my paypal account in order to pay, and then once I log in the next page says “The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.”
Are familiar with this issue? What should I do? The debug file seems empty…
