    i did all the steps outlined to change from email but to no avail…please help

    when potential new members register for the account, there is a confirmation email sent to them with their username and password.

    that email shows up as coming from wordpress in their email inbox.

    i need it to say my companies name

    Hi, I carried out a test in my testing site and you are correct. I also see the word WordPress. One of the plugin developers will investigate this further.

    What value did you enter in the following field?

    
Simple Membership -> Settings -> Email Settings -> From Email Address

    i put in:

    Black Label Organics <admin@blacklabelorganics.org

    i spoke w google and they think it may be the way the SMTP settings are and they may be set to the google free smtp settings, causing the conflict

    I can confirm that this is not an issue in our plugin. I have just double checked it (to be sure). When I enter the following value in the email settings it comes out correctly:

    John Doe <john.doe@mydomain.com>
