ParticipantI created two membership levels:
1) Free
2) Gold Paid Lifetime MembershipWhen I created the button for the Gold membership, there is a place to enter a redirect url.
It says:
“Enter the URL the user will be redirected to after a successful payment. Enter the URL of your Thank You page here.”Can I the registration page url as the redirect url? If no, what url do I enter as the redirect url? Also can I use the Free Registration page or do I create a separate Gold Registration Page? I am just not certain about the correct redirect url to use.

ModeratorHi,
I am just not certain about the correct redirect url to use.
The redirect URL is for a thank you page. If you want to have a different thank you page based on the membership level then you would create two different thank you pages. If you only want one thank you page, then all you do is create one thank you page. You add the full URL path of the thank you page into this field if you want to use it.
Let me know if you need more information or help.
Kind regards

ParticipantI misread your post. Do I have to use a thank you page url in this field or can I just let the plugin send any messages?

I would not use the registration page because it would look very unprofessional ;). When you create a thank you page, you probably want to include some text to thank your new members. And you can even add information about newsletters, special offers, instructions and more. There is really no limit to what you can include in the thank you page.
Kind regards

ModeratorYou don’t have to use this field. This field is optional.

ParticipantThanks! That’s a big help. I do have something else to ask about the registration page. I used the short code [swpm_registration_form] to create the registration form, which says on the form that it is “Membership Level Free”. If I use this for members that pay for the gold level, will it say on form then that it is “Membership Level Gold”. Can I use one registration form for both levels or do I have to create a separate form for the gold level?

SWPM uses the same registration form for all membership levels, and the form will reflect the name of the membership level being registered for. If you want to have different registration forms for each membership level, you need the Form Builder Addon.

ParticipantI want to create a membership renewal button. I went to the advanced settings and checked the “Enable Expired Account Login” box and saved setting. I created a membership renewal page. However, what is the payment button shortcodes from this plugin to create the renewal buttons? I can’t find this shortcode!!

ModeratorThe creation of payment buttons for renewal are the same as for the original subscription. The difference is that, if you click a subscription button while logged in; then the existing membership expiry is extended.

ParticipantHow do I set up a Paypal Button to give a free trial for 7 days and then charge a one time fee of a membership level?

Thank you

ParticipantIf I create a free 7 day trial, should the “Enable Free Membership” field in general setting be left checked and what “Free Membership Level ID” should be entered. Should it be the new 7 day free membership level ID?

ModeratorHi,

Yes it should be enabled. Please check the following documentation about the free membership level.
Should it be the new 7 day free membership level ID?
This has nothing to do with the Free membership level mentioned above. The trial period is set up in the subscription button as per the instructions I shared previously. Or are you trying to set up the free 7 day trial period differently?
