ParticipantI get through the payment process with no issues but then – nothing. No email is received, and when I look at the members, I’ve not been added to the list. What should I be doing to troubleshoot?

KeymasterThe following page should help:

ParticipantWhat did they have you do Steve? Did you get it fixed? I am having the same problem. No Membership account was created by the plug in. I never heard back about this sandbox payment test… so I went ahead and used my credit card and signed up to my website. Everything went through paypal just fine, and then I was redirected to my login page that I created. I was sent confirmation of payment from paypal as the seller. The problem is My email (as the buyer) never arrived. I am assuming that the registration, sign up stuff is in that email? What instructions there are state that the plug in will recognize what option I signed up for? The link that the admin posted takes me right back to here? FYI, I did the same test with the free account and emails were sent to me perfectly, login works perfectly, and I even tested the new password option. Please send me info if you were able to get yours fixed! Thanks ~Kelly

KeymasterDid you enable the following option from the settings menu of the plugin?
Enable Sandbox Testing
You should also check the “Enable Debug” field too.

ParticipantThey were both enabled. Clicking to enable sandbox testing doesn’t do anything here, I don’t know how to use it anyways. So when I went through my purchase with it unchecked (un enabled)
Debug was enabled since the day I set it up. Here is what failed…
– FAILURE :Membership level ID is missing in the payment notification! Cannot process this notification
My membership levels were set up and saved. I set up each pay pal button with the advance code like you have us do and inserted them into the advance code box and created the pay pal button… not sure what else I can do to make this plug in work correctly.
When I saw that it only restricts content (pages) part of the time I had to de activate the plug in and revert back to word press privacy settings. Its all I can do! Thanks anyways

KeymasterIf you can copy and paste the content of the debug log file I will be able to offer more help.

ParticipantSorry for the late reply. The issue was in my Paypal account: my account is in UKP but the payments are in USD. In this case Paypal was configured so that I had to approve the payment manually every time a foreign (USD) transaction happened. I changed the setting so that the payments are automatically approved – it all works reliably now.
Thank you to the SMP team for the support and great plugin! -
