I have a user who had a subscription membership and decides to cancel the automatic payment, and will be changed to “expired” status. If that member decides to rejoin, say in two months, either at the same subscription level, or a different one (say at a discounted rate just for them), how do I do that? Do I create the member renewal page? Or could I just direct them to a special page with a special paypal subscription button?

Or would they just go to the original sign up page and sign up? (Although, they still currently have their member account, but just expired)

Also, I’ll mention, my signup page has direct button links to the paypal buttons, not using the shortcodes from the plugin. Wasn’t sure if this affects anything.

    Hi,

Or would they just go to the original sign up page and sign up? (Although, they still currently have their member account, but just expired)

The following feature under Advanced tab, allows expired account access.

    Enable Expired Account Login
When enabled, expired members will be able to log into the system but won’t be able to view any protected content. This allows them to easily renew their account by making another payment.

Also, I’ll mention, my signup page has direct button links to the paypal buttons, not using the shortcodes from the plugin. Wasn’t sure if this affects anything.

Depending on how you set this up, it could affect the whole process. How did you set up the sign up page? Did you use any instructions from our site to set this up?

    Regards

I set up my sign up page by creating the buttons through paypal but added the Advanced Variables via the membership site when creating my paypal html.
