ParticipantHi, I don’t know if this has been covered, but I cannot find it anywhere:
I have a website dedicated to my community choir. It has a Members Area that is locked for (paid) members only.
I want users to be able to register for a free taster session (without access to the members area) so that we can collect their contact details. Then, if they decide to join, they can setup a subscription.
I want 2 levels of subscription, 1 for individual members and then one for couples (at a discounted rate). So, for example, an individual will pay £25 per month and a couple will pay £37.50 (second member at 50% discount).I can create different PayPal buttons for the the various amounts, but I was wondering if there is a way for a couple to setup separate accounts (for attendance purposes), that are clearly linked by finances and are paying the set fee?
Sorry, I know Im not saying that very well.
I have seen it done this way (and I don’t like it!!!) a couple register as Paul & Mary Jones. They pay the discounted rate. But, on the register they appear as Paul & Mary Jones. There is no way of separating them (for Fire Regulations, etc) SDo I would like to be able to give them their own individual accounts that are linked.
Thanks in advance!!

You are wondering if you can do something like Amazon, in which they use a common payment method to verify that members are indeed part of the same household account.
That is not supported, because it requires some kind of verification functionality that is not supported by PayPal.

ParticipantI want people to be able to register (and pay) to access the members area. As an individual, you would click the “Individual Membership” button which would then require you to set up a subscription of £25 per month. However, if you are a couple, I want you to be able to set up an account each (so that we can register your attendance individually (a bit like in school, where siblings student accounts are linked under the same parents/household) then click the “Couples Membership” button and pay £37.50 per month for both accounts.
Im happy to set up different PayPal buttons for the various amounts, which will allow the members to pick the membership option that best suits them, what Im asking is, is there a way of a man and a woman having individual membership accounts that are linked as a couples account?

There is no supported way of performing that, in the current plugin.
