In my testing, I have noticed an issue with the sequence of the message display after a password change. What I’m experiencing is that after I change my password, I am immediately logged out. Then, upon logging in with my new password, I am directed back to the profile page which displays a message reading “Profile updated successfully. You will need to re-login since you changed your password.”

To me, this sequence of events seems backward. I would rather the message display and then be logged out. Or, be logged out and have a message, stating that I need to re-login using my new password, appear on the login page.

Is this the default setting for the SWPM plugin? If so, is there a way to manage this sequence and messaging?

Does your site use any page caching plugins?

    No.

Here’s a list of the plugins I’m using on the site:

    • Akismet Anti-Spam
    • Contact Form 7
    • Contact Form 7 – Dynamic Text Extension
    • Hide My Site
    • Image Cleanup
    • Jetpack by WordPress.com
    • Jquery Validation For Contact Form 7
    • Layers – Updater
    • Layers Pro – Extended Layers customizability
    • Simple WordPress Membership
    • WP Smush
    • Zen Menu Logic

    Hopefully, this helps.

I’m still having this issue occur. Do you have any suggestions or thoughts on what may be causing this?

    I’m still having the problem.

I bought Simple Membership Form Builder, but premium support doesn’t help me.
