Any updates on how we can fix this?

Error! Invalid Request. Could not find a match for the given security code and the user ID.Free membership is disabled on this site. Please make a payment from the Join us page to pay for a premium membership.

I posted this before and have yet to hear a response.

This occurs at the end once the registration form has been submitted.

Are you getting to step 7 explained in the following documentation?
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/membership-registration-process-overview/

Users can only register a paid account after they click on that unique special link sent to them via email after the payment.

Yes. Steps 1-8 all work but the following issues exist

It gets all the way to step 7, once the link is clicked from the email the user is directed to the registration form.
The user then fills in the form and submits.
Once submitted, in the back end I can see the user account is created although the custom field information is nowhere to be seen. BUT the user gets the error: “Error! Invalid Request. Could not find a match for the given security code and the user ID.Free membership is disabled on this site. Please make a payment from the Join us page to pay for a premium membership.”

Looks like something is stripping the special code from the URL after the form is submitted. Can you do the registration test after you deactivate all the plugins (only keeping simple membership active)?
