I can’t use the generic registration form short-code

    [swpm_registration_form]

I don’t have a free level so I get “Free membership is disabled on this site.” error rather than the registration form.

So, do I have to make a page for each paying level or is there a short-code that will allow me to specify multiple levels for a registration – some kind of notation after the level: short-code parameter.

Basically, some kind of notation for all levels except a free level.

Thought I’d check before going to the effort to create a page for every paid level.

    Thanks for all you do,
    Mike

Unfortunately, the plugin only generates a short code for one level.

So, my question remains – do I have to make a page for each paying level or is there a short-code that will allow me to specify multiple levels for a registration – some kind of notation after the level: short-code parameter.

If I have to make a page for each level, I can do it but just wanted to be sure there wasn’t another solution available.

Hi Mike, lets say you are using the Join Us page. In this page you can have as many sign up forms as you want using the correct PayPal button for each membership level. The same applies for subscription buttons. Please read the following documentation. This will help you understand the Join Us page process.

In regards to the error message you mentioned above about the free membership level. If you are not using free membership level, make sure you have not enabled the following feature Enable Free Membership. This is located under WP Membership -> Settings -> General Settings.

Let me know if you need more help.

    Hi,

I have not enabled Free Membership in the General Settings (so I was surprised at the registration form error).

To clarify – I’m not using the Join Us/Payment functionality of the plugin.

So the first Simple Membership interaction with the member is an email inviting them to register for members only content via a link to registration form. (I’m beginning to conclude I need a separate registration form for each membership level.)

Process that I anticipate is as follows:

    1. Member is sent an email inviting them to register for members only content. Email contains link to registration form.

    2. Member fills out and submits registration form and is sent an email indicating his/her registration is under review. Plugins creates a member in pending status.

    3. Admin reviews registration – if OK, he activates member, causing email to be sent indicating account is activated – also includes link to login form.

    4. Member logs in to access user content.

Hi, thank you for sharing what you are planning to do. It looks okay from my end. However I would prefer that you carry out a test before going live and report any issues you might run into.

In regards to the error message you received above. I forgot to mentioned in my previous post that the error is also triggered when you use the following shortcode [swpm_registration_form] while you don’t allow free membership. The plugin thinks you are allowing free membership sign up and triggers the error because you have not enabled the following feature Enable Free Membership in the settings.

    Thank you
