Hello, can you please edit the plugin details for when a member becomes Inactive?

On my site if a member registers for a 1 month membership and immediately cancels it, their account goes inactive. Members accounts should stay active until the period of their membership is over, and then go inactive.

I have to manually activate and deactivate every account that cancels early. Is this something that can be fixed?

    Thanks

Hi, what is the membership level duration period set to? If you set the membership level duration period to No Expiry, then this is how the plugin currently works.

Yes, but if the member signs up for a 10 day membership, but cancels after 1 day, they account expires and they do not get the full 10 days of membership.

Atleast this is my experience with the ‘No expiry’ option enabled

Hi, I have submitted a message to the plugin developers to investigate further your issue.

    Thank you

The “No Expiry” means the following:

Access for this level will not expire until cancelled

For your situation (given what you want), you need to use a duration value (example: 30 days). If you specify a duration value in the membership level then, simple membership will set the account to “unsubscribed” when someone cancels. So the user will still have access until the duration time is over. If the recurring payment keeps coming every 30 days (assuming you have a 30 days recurring payment setup) then they will keep getting access for another 30 days.
