Is there a way to automatically log out members after a period of inactivity, a hour, for example? Also, in testing we are finding that I can manually log out users through the Users section of the wordpress admin but they can still access the page as if they are still logged in, perhaps because the page is cached. Is there anything we can do about this? Not everyone logs out when they are finished so we won’t to make sure they can’t stay logged in indefinately.
Hi, that feature is not currently available. You might be able to find a plugin that controls the users login period. Alternative leave a message so that members will be aware to log out when they finish their session.
The message could say something like
“Remember to log out after you have completed a session. If not the plugin will keep you logged in even if you have closed the browser. This might lead to other issues with other plugins. In that case the best solution is to clear the browser cache and then log back in.”
