Before I give up on this plugin and buying the Pro version…

    Problem:
After registration, the user is automatically redirected to my home page, not to the specified redirection page which is what I want it to do.

    Situation:
I have two free membership levels (silver and gold). I have two registration pages each with their own membership level shortcode. The Advanced settings include a redirection URL and enable auto login after registration is checked.

I think I had this working at one point but it doesn’t work properly anymore. I rebooted my computer and it didn’t help.

Would greatly appreciate someone’s help. Thank you.

Yes, turning off auto login worked! Many thanks.

I do have a related problem. The plugin is not recognizing my free silver membership and free gold membership when I use the Partial Protection Add-on.

I suspect the shortcode does not apply to my situation and therefore fails:
    [swpm_registration_form level=2] and [swpm_registration_form level=2]

The Plugin is setup to use one registration form and there is only one Registration Page URL in Settings, but I have 2 registration forms, one for silver membership and the other form gold membership. I’ve tried various things but nothing seems to work.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thank you.

You have followed the instructions for seperate registration forms?
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/simple-membership-registration-form-shortcode-generator/
Did you remember to download the addon for it???

Thank you for your reply. I did use the shortcode generator and have the problem–there are 3 three choices:
    [swpm_registration_form]
    [swpm_registration_form level=2]
    [swpm_registration_form level=3]

I have 3 types of users:
    Free without registration
    Free Silver membership with registration
    Free Gold membership with registration

I am not using the default Join Us page. Nor am I using the default Registration page because I have 2 free registration types (silver and gold) and I use the [swpm_registration_form level=2] and [swpm_registration_form level=3] shortcodes on my own registration pages.

All three user types access the same post-registration page:
The Free without registration visitor clicks on a link on the home page to get to the post registration page (same page as the logged in members).
Silver member registrants go to the that page as well.
Gold member registrants go to that page as well.

The reason for the 3 groups is that each of them have different privileges when they are on the post registration page. I am trying to control what content they see using the partial content protection plug in.

The problem is that neither the silver and gold members can see the protected content, presumably because the registration form levels 2 and 3 are not being recognized.

I tried changing the Protect this Document settings at the bottom of the post registration page but it makes no difference.

I hope this better clarifies the problem and gives you more to work with.

    Thanks again.

When a member is registered; do they “show up” as (Account State) “Active” members of the expected Membership Levels; on the plugin’s Members screen?

Registered members show up as “Active.”

Let’s make sure you properly have the partial protection addon working correctly. Please create a test page with the following content:

    [swpm_protected]
Only logged in members (of ANY level) should see this.
    [/swpm_protected]
    [swpm_protected for="2-3"]
Only logged in Level 2 & 3 members should see this.
    [/swpm_protected]
    [swpm_protected for="3"]
Only logged in Level 3 members should see this.
    [/swpm_protected]
    [swpm_protected for="2"]
Only logged in Level 2 members should see this.
    [/swpm_protected]

Then run a test against the page contents.

I copied the shortcodes and pasted them as is. The result was the same for all:”This Content is for Members Only.” And the members show as Active.

I tried creating a new post-registration page and set the post registration URL to it. Registered as a new member and same problem. The membership levels are not being recognized by the partial protection shortcodes.

That tells me partial content protection is not correctly setup. Please carefully recheck these instructions:
    https://simple-membership-plugin.com/apply-partial-section-protection/

P.S. Don’t forget to ACTIVATE the addon.

I reinstalled the content protection add-on. No difference. There is no communication between the user registration levels and the partial protection shortcodes.

Somehow I think the problem lies with the fact that I am not using the default pages created by the Simple Membership Plugin. I am not using the Join Us page, nor am I using the Registration page because I have multiple registration (member) levels.

I have no option but to find another plugin which is unfortunate.
