I am wondering how to go about achieving the following workflow using this plugin:
1. visitor navigates to a page with teaser & protected content
2. visitor decides to sign up (in order to see the protected content)
3. visitor completes registration form and becomes a user
4. user is automatically logged in at this point
5. user is redirected back to the page where they originally decided to sign up (step 1) – rather than having to re-locate the page.
Is this possible? I’ve tried using the redirect plugin but it’s not really doing anything.
hope to hear back soon
Anthony
Hi, let me provide instructions for each of your steps above.
1) Enable the following feature under Settings -> General Settings -> Enable More Tag Protection. Make sure you have also protected the content for that post or page.
2) They will see a message allowing them to sign up or log in.
3) This will be available after step 2 above.
4) No, users are not automatically logged in at this point. The user must sign in to view the content.
5) Please read the following documentation.
Let me know if you need more information.
