I have looked through the forum and see where others have had similar problems with this article – https://simple-membership-plugin.com/auto-redirect-non-logged-in-users-protect-whole-site/, but I don’t see the fix. I have had two different developers try to make this work, but both keep getting the too many redirects, or even breaking the login page-using the suggest code.
This functionality seems very common to me, and I don’t understand why it is so difficult. Here is what I want:
When a non-logged in user visits ANY protected page, they are automatically sent back to /login page. After being authenticated, they are then able to view the protected page.
The problem with the current “alert” page design is that the potential intruder now knows where the webpage is. It’s like having a locked door and now an intruder just has to find the right key. I don’t want the potential intruder to know where the door even is.
Has anybody been able to make this work? If so, can you send me instructions I can pass onto my very frustrated developers?.
I posted this issue a month ago and no reply. I have read others have the same issue. Is there an Admin or anybody who moderates this forum who can respond to this??
