After entering the URL I’d like to have visitors redirected to after entering their login credentials, the entry field won’t save and shows as being empty again. (Actually, the page lets me save it but when I open it up again, the previous entry is blank.)

Hi interweb are you referring to the After Login Redirection add-on?

Hi, can you Enable Debug mode and after view the log file.

You might also like to carry out the following test. Deactivate all your other plugins except this add-on and Simple Membership. Try then to add a URL and save?

How much memory do you have allocated to WordPress?

I deactivated all other plugins and it still wipes out the URL I enter in the redirection field upon saving.

I have 128mb allocated to WordPress.

Exactly same problem here. Spent hours experimenting. No luck.

@interweb can you try an increase the memory to 256MB, see if that helps.

I increased the memory to 256mb and it still does the same thing. Ugh!

@interweb I just carried out a test. I installed the add-on, I created a page for the Free membership level. I added a URL http://localhost/wordpress361/free-members-page/ to the Free Membership Level and saved the settings. Logged in using a different browser and the member was immediately redirected to the page mentioned in the URL above. So I can say that it is working for me in my testing platform.

In my testing platform I have 92 plugins, 72 not active and 20 are active. So you can see I have a variety of different plugins and this add-on does not clash with any of them and I am able to save the settings.

    My testing platform Specifications.

    1. Windows 8.1 64bit
    2. xampp
    3. Apache/2.4.7
    4. PHP 5.5.9
    5. MySQL Version: 5.6.16
    6. Plugin Version: 3.9.5
    7. WP Version: 4.2.1
    8. PHP Memory Limit: 256M

The above should help you troubleshoot your issue.

    Regards

I’m still not able to get it to work. I even updated the plugin today.

When you edit the membership level and enter the url you’d like to have the user redirected to, after you save that page and go back to editing it again, does the redirection URL still appear? No matter what I’ve tried, whenever I add a URL to redirect someone to and save the page, when I edit the membership level again, the URL has vanished.

    (I’m using x theme)

I can save the settings the URL never disappears. Can you test one of WordPress default themes like Twenty Fourteen?

This is very strange, what URL are you typing? Is it a full path URL i.e. http:// or simply http://www.site.com?

I’ve tried every combination of URL’s. (Absolute, relative, with www, without www, with http://, without http://, etc.)
